Welcome to AMP Athletics, we are a non-profit corporation founded to provide opportunities for children who have the desire to participate in athletics but are limited because of finances. AMP Athletics focuses primarily on children and youth age 8-14 because it is in these formative years that children need to PLAY. They learn fundamental life skills through working with others in team sports and many children want to participate, but are not given the chance because their family is unable to afford the costs. Because of this they turn to other less desirable alternatives such as hours spent playing video games, watching television or “hanging out” with friends causing trouble to entertain themselves. ALL money raised goes directly to organizations (mostly city recreation departments or summer sports leagues and camps) to sponsor individual children to play the sports they love!
